VIRGINIA: AT A WORKSHOP FOR THE COUNTY OF AMELIA BOARD OF  SUPERVISORS HELD IN CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION OFFICE, FEBRUARY 10, 2021 AT7 7:00P.M.  PRESENT:  DAVID M. FELTS ROGER A. SCOTT via Webex SHAUN WEYANT H.JOSEPH EASTER, IV FRANKLINI D. HARRIS  District 1 District 2 District 3 District 4 District 5  Board of Supervisors  Holly Steele, Director ofCommunity Development Carla Cave, Director of Finance via Webex Brenda. Arthur, Executive Assistant via Webex  Supervisor Easter called the workshop meeting to order and determined there wasa  quorum with.  Supervisor Easter provided the invocation.  AE Resolution to adopt workshop dates was approved on a motion by Supervisor Felts. Neal Barber addressed the Board regarding the Economic Development Authority Victor Livingston spoke to the Board regarding a church he is remodeling and how it  Strategic Plan.  could be used for a community center.  Kent Emerson discussed the Fire Department project for a training site.  Kent Emerson also notified the Board that the shelter and emergency communications Shawn Stern gave an update on the security of the Bright/AS400 security. Carla Cave gave a presentation on the FY2022 Budget process.  generator should be eliminated.    Onar motion by Supervisor Weyant, the Board entered in to closed session pursuant to 2.2-3711.A3 and A5. Upon returning to open session, the Board certified that only topics allowed in Code of Virginia, $2.2-3711-A3, and A5 were discussed. The certification  was recorded as follows:  VOTE:  AYES:  NAYS:  NONE  District 1-Supervisor Felts District 2-Supervisor Scott District 3-Supervisor Weyant District 4-Supervisor Easter District 5-Supervisor Harris  Supervisor Scott motioned to instruct staff to proceed with the negotiation and acquisition of Onam motion by Supervisor Weyant, the Board entered in to closed session pursuant to 2.2-3711.A1. Upon returning to open session, the Board certified that only topics allowed in Code of Virginia, $2.2-3711-A1 were discussed.
