TAYLOR HARVIE, III, County Administrator HOLLY STEELE, Director of Community Development  JEFF GORE, County Attorney  Chairman Easter called the September 15, 2021 Regular Meeting oft the Amelia County Board of Supervisors to order at' 7:00 P.M. and determined there was a quorum with all five members participating. Supervisor Easter offered the invocation, and everyone participated in the Pledge  ofAllegiance. CONSENT AGENDA  The September agenda was amended toi include ai request from the Sheriff's Office fora supplemental appropriation. August 11,2021 Workshop August 18, 2021 Regular Meeting August 25, 2021 Continued Meeting  The. August financial reports were approved on a motion by Supervisor Felts.  PUBLIC COMMENTS  No one spoke during the public comments.    STAFFCOMMITTEFORGANZATIONAL REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS Rebecca Worley of VDOT, reported on activities in Amelia County. Dr.I Lori Harper reported on Amelia School Board activities and financial reports.  Board members gave reports on meetings they have attended.  COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT  Onan motion by Supervisor Scott the Board approved amendments to the! Floodplain  Ordinance. OLD/NEW BUSINESS  Aj public hearing was. held on the General Code Ordinance Editorial and Legal Analysis. No one spoke and the Editorial and Legal Analysis was approved on a motion by Todd Fortune of Commonwealth Regional Council presented the grant application and Resolution for the. Amelia Sidewalk project. The Board approved the grant resolution on The Board approved ai request for rollover funds from Piedmont Health District on a The Board deferred a request to exempt personal property tax from the. Amelia  Supervisor. Felts.  amotion by Supervisor Weyant. motion by Supervisor Scott.  Emergency Squad to the October Board meeting.  AS Special Event Permit to hold thel Homecoming Parade and waive to fees was approved  on ai motion by Supervisor Scott COUNTY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT  Thel host fee check from Waste Management for August 2021 was $261,638.19.  CRC submitted the August Items of Interest. DMV Select submitted financial reports for July 2021.  County Administrator Taylor Harvie submitted ai resolution from Powhatan County. Mr. Harvie shared an announcement from Nottoway County regarding their new County  Administrator.  2    BOARD MEMBERS COMMENTSREPORTS District 1-The Honorable David M. Felts  Supervisor Felts stated he appreciated the volunteers of Fire and Rescue.  District 4-The Honorable H.Joseph Easter  Supervisor Easter sent best wishes to Field Day of the Past and thanked all the volunteers.  MOTIONTO.
