June 18, 2024 Regular Meeting of the Amelia County Board of Supervisors to order at 7:00 P.M. and determined there was a quorum with all five members participating. Supervisor Morris offered the invocation, and everyone participated in the Pledge of Allegiance. CONSENT AGENDA The agenda was amended to remove RiverStreet, to add EDA Appropriation, RFP for Audit Services, additional information for Virginia Department of Health Item, and a Closed Session for personnel and contract negotiation. As well as move the VDOT 6 Year Plan Public Hearing Item up to the VDOT Report. Dr. Harper gave a report on Enrollment and school board activities. Road and Clementown Road. C. School Board Mr. Trump discussed the financial report. Audit RFP Discussion The board discussed the new contract through Cooperative Procurement provision that the county ofLouisa has with Robertson, Farmer, Cox for one Supervisor Easter motioned to approve the county administrator with the support ofl legal counsel to proceed with the contract for a one year term with Robertson, Farmer, Cox for audit services through the cooperative procurement. 4-1-0; Motion passed with Supervisor Easter, ,Jones, Felts, and Robison voted in favor year to obtain their services. and Supervisor Morris abstained. County Administrator Pay Raise Discussion Supervisor Easter motioned to clarify that as a contract employee, he does not intend the cost-of-living increases applied to the contract employee and therefore he is excluded from the cost-of-living increases that have been passed.3-1-1; Motion passed with Supervisor Easter, Morris, and Robinson voted in favor, Supervisor Felts abstained, and Supervisor Jones opposed the motion. Attended an emergency CPMT meeting, Juneteenth festival, and the lavender District 5-The Honorable Todd Robinson festival. Discussed finding someone to find grants for the county.
