Everyone joined in for the Pledge of quorum with all five members in attendance. Allegiance. The agenda was amended to include a discussion oft the American Rescue Plan Act. The amended agenda was approved on ai motion by Supervisor Scott. Carla Cave presented information on Debt Capacity and Fund Balance Ratio. Jill Hames presented the results of a study to address lack of space for the library. The Board requested County Attorney to review the ordinance dealing with property clean up ini the county and bring it back to the September Workshop. The Board requested the County Attorney to study the new. laws regarding redistricting The Board instructed staff and county attorney to remove requirements ofa fee for Supervisor Felts motioned that that fee be waived for Field Day oft the Past. The request Supervisor Scott made ai motion to instruct stafft to work with Commissioner oft the Revenue on revising Special Event Permit fees and report back to the August Workshop. Supervisor Scott made ai motion to enter into a contract with VML/VACO to assist with and bring it back to the. Onar motion by Supervisor Scott, the Board entered into closed session allowed by Code ofVirginia, $2.2-3711,A3, Discussion or consideration of the acquisition ofreal property for a public purpose, or of the disposition of publicly held real property, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body.
