Supervisor Easter offered the invocation, and everyone participated in the Pledge  ofAllegiance. CONSENT AGENDA  The April agenda was amended to include discussion on taxation of Solar Farms. The  amended agenda was approved on ai motion by Supervisor Scott. The following minutes were approved on ai motion by Supervisor Felts:  April 1, 2021 Workshop April 21, 2021 Regular Meeting April 30, 2021 Continued Meeting  March 22, 2021 Joint public Hearing with Planning Commission The April financial reports were approved on a motion by Supervisor Harris.  PUBLICCOMMENIS  Rodney Jones sent an email regarding budget spending.  1    STAFF/COMMITTEEORGANZATIONAL REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS  Rebecca Worley ofVDOT, reported on activities in Amelia County. Dr.I Lori Harper reported on Amelia School Board activities. A supplemental appropriation request was approved on a motion by Supervisor Harris.  PLANNING AND ZONING  Aj portion of the Zoning Ordinance was amended to include the definition of an assembly Holly Steele reported that CRC will be providing assistance in the redistricting project,  hall and hospital.  but the data from the 2020 Census has not been received.  OLD/NEW BUSINESS  After a public hearing, the Ordinance that established rates and fees for the sanitary Aftera aj public hearing, the Ordinance setting fees for bad checks was amended to show  district was amended to show an increase.  an: increase. Ona ar motion by Supervisor Weyant, the Board unanimously re-appointed Jennifer Harris Onamotion by Supervisor Weyant, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Supervisor Felts motioned to re-appoint Walter Townsend to the Economic Development Committee. The motion failed 2-3 with Supervisors Scott, Weyant and Easter voting Supervisor Harris motioned to re-appoint Jackie Booker to the Economic Development Committee. The motion failed 2-3 with Supervisors Scott, Weyant and Easter voting An Ordinance Amendment to the Motor Vehicle License Tax was deferred to the June  to serve on the JL Hamner Library Board ofTrustees.
