Supervisor Weyant offered the invocation, and everyone participated in the Pledge of Allegiance. CONSENT AGENDA The agenda was amended to include a Sheriff's Office Appropriation Request, a Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act Resolution, and a Closed Session. The amended agenda was unanimously approved on a motion by Supervisor Jones. PUBLICCOMMENIS STAFF/COMMITTEE/ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTSAND PRESENTATIONS A. VDOT Report: Maintenance: Just began the 3rd cycle of primary mowing. Repairing of shoulders of Rt 616 has been ongoing. Asphalt repairs of various routes county wide. Land use: Provided feedback on an item under Community Development. Staff met with the Sheriff's office regarding speed signs and made Traffic engineers are looking over high volume traffic crossovers. All surface treatment operations have been completed for this year. Traffic Studies/ Special Requests: recommendations ofl locations. Construction: Rt621 project has been completed. B. School Board Dr. Harper gave a report on Enrollment and school board activities. Josh Worrel discussed details of the School Security Officer Appropriation- Mr. Trump discussed the financial report. $31,740.00 & Supervisor Easter made a motion to approve the appropriation request. 5-0; Motion passed. She stated the appeals process and past process/results of previous assessment. The board continued discussions about the reassessment topic. Report on Real Property Assessment Review County Attorney stated the update on the report will be discussed in closed session due to it being legal advice and the board has not had a chance to discuss itv with outside counsel.
