CITY OF CORRY COMMUNITY CENTER 6:30 PM OCTOBER 21, 2024 Al Public Hearing was held in Council Chambers to discuss the 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and seek input from the public as to the proposed uses for this funding. Roll call found Council members, Mr. Maloney, Mr. Hammond, Mr. Fike, Mrs. Lindstrom and Mayor Baker; along with City Administrator Joanne Smith, Fire Chief Hodak, Police LT. Kitchen, Public Works Manager Leofsky and Lorie Sutton, of the Erie County Housing Authority. (1) Mrs. Sutton opened the meeting stating this is the final public hearing for the fiscal year 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $305,449 to undertake activities which address community development and/or housing needs which principally benefit low-to-moderate income persons. The amount of funds proposed to benefit low- and moderate-income persons is not less than 70%. (A) Based upon a public needs hearing and a review of project requests, the City proposes that its FY2024C CDBG funds be used for the following activities: City Park - Sidewalk Installations Fire Station #2 - Concrete Bay Floor Code Enforcement Officer Partial Salary Program Administrator $100,000 $ 65,000 $ 45,000 $35.000 $305,449 City Park-1 Water Line Install & Electrical Upgrade $ 60,449 Total (B) Mrs. Sutton also reviewed funds remaining and information for previous years Block Grants. She advised they are waiting on the final invoice for the Storm Sewer Separation Project FY 2021 (Spring St - Chord Rd to Sherman St).
