Washington County Board of Commissioners  Regular Meeting October 10, 2024 9:00am  Commissioners Present: Horace Daniel, Doug Watkins, James HitchcockJr.  Prayer & Pledge Call Meeting to Order  Chairman Daniel called the meeting to order. September Minutes & October 4th Called Minutes  Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve the Board Minutes, seconded by Commissioner Hitchcock. The motion was passed unanimously.  Bills  The bills to be ratified were asi follows: Administrative & Other-$ $443,281.20 Road Department-s $72,703.84 Sheriff office &J Jail-$127,810.45 Cournouse-$85,005.70 EMA-$1,689.36 E911-$144,407.28 Landfill-$ $85,865.76  Commissioner Hitchcock made ar motion to approve the September expenditures, seconded by Commissioner Watkins. The motion was passed unanimously.  Road Department Update  Mr. Holmes gave an update of where his crews are currently and stated thati the crews are  workingt to open upt the closed roads.  Appointments  GDPH, Septic and' Water Feel Increases - Justin. Jones  Mr.J Jones was unable to attend, he will be added to November Agenda Commissioner Watkins made a motion to put this out for bid to receive estimates and see approximatelyt the overall cost. Commissioner Hitchcock: seconded the  Guard Rail on. Joiner Road  motion. The motion passed unanimously.  Old Business    New Business  Gang Grant Approval  Commissioner Hitchcock made ar motion to approve the Gang Grant. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Hitchcock made a motioni to approve the contract with Musco Lighting to provide new lighting for the Baseball/Softball fields. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion.
