Mayor7:00pm 1. Public Hearing Rezoning oft tax parcels 73(2)13 and 73D(1)1 located ont the west side of Roanoke Road (Rt 220). The application is to rezone both lotsi from A1 Agriculturet to B1 Business. 2. Reading/Approval of minutes oft the September 12, 2024 meeting. The minutes were approved as submitted. 3. Additions to the Agenda and approval of Agenda 4. Public Hearing a. Rezoning application for Heritage Market. The public hearing for the rezoning application submitted by Heritage Market was opened Comments from the publicr regarding traffic and activity concerns were expressed. Other at7:00 pm. citizens spoke ini favort the rezoning. The public! hearing was closed at 8:00 pm. Bill Gaul seconded the motion. Management Big Spring Park Update Eda and Melanie met with ar representative fromi the VOF at the park so that she could see all the work that has been done. She was very pleased with the progress and allt thei improvements that have been made. She was encouraging with the options that may be available for future grants. ii. Mayor's Report Mayor Smith had no majorreports. iii. Town Manager's Report 1. VDOTU Updates 2. Pond Update-Bill Gaul Several options were presented that would address the concerns of the condition of the pond water. Let the pond exist asi iti is; treatwith chemicals; physically dredge the unwanted vegetation; add more aerators; add more Grass Carp; add gravel to create al ledge; installation of an Agi-Drain. 6.
