Nelson explained that the two categories that will be reviewed today will be the CN, neighborhood commercial, and OF, office, zoning districts. The discussion moved forward with the civic use table found in section 5.03.010 of the Unified Development (OF) districts = Sofia Nelson, Planning Director Code. Committee Member Baran arrived at 3:34 PM. Committee Member Dickey shared the agreement with staff's recommendation that there should be an SUP, special use permit, for the social service facility use. Chair Perthuis agreed in aligning the social service facility use with the community center use. Committee Member Baran recommended to limit the social service facility use because Travis Baird, Assistant Planning Director - Current Planning, shared that the social service facility use would be multi-functional and provide a broad spectrum of services to the surrounding community. Committee Member Baran concluded with the comment to keep the social service facility use as staff recommended, as an SUP. The discussion moved forward with the transportation and utility use table found in section 5.05.010 of the Unified Development Code. Committee Member Baran suggested that the utility services, major, use should not be permitted.
