The Council of the City of Creola, Alabama, met in the Creola City Hall at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor William Criswell. We were led in prayer by Major Holt. Roll call was taken by Brandy Davis. Present at the meeting was Lee Anne Greene, Avis Walker, Tonya Moss, and Mayor William Criswell. Brandy Davis, City Clerk, and Marcy Brown, Administrative Assistant. Harold Martin and Kendal Hadaway were absent. A quorum was in Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, CDC rules were followed for social distancing. For this reason, Marcy Brown videotaped the meeting fori individuals to view via Facebook Live. Approval of the Minutes - The minutes of the April 23, 2020, regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Tonya Moss to accept the minutes as written. Fire Truck #2 Update - After repairs, and two new tires, the final bill will be around $6200.00. Once the hoses and other equipment are put back on, this week, the truck will be back in service. Item #9 - Mayors Discussion Mayor Criswell asked that ifanyone sees anyone burning debris, or anything else, please contact the Police Department, due to everything being sO dry right now. Mayor Criswell stated that the following list of Pay-As-You-Go, has to be turned in tomorrow, to going on in South Mobile and Pensacola, that have gotten out of control. Ordinance 2020-003. Mr. Eubanks has about another week until completion. Pike Electric is working on electrical problems. Mayor Criswell stated the Fire Department needs ai new phone system. Currently, calls are having to go through 911. He will come back to the council to ask for approval. Mrs. Greene will meet with the zoning board on Tuesday to discuss a citizen that is wanting to Citizens to Address Council - Chris Reid addressed the council about having a fish fry fundraiser for the City of Creola. Mrs. Greene stated she would find out ift the City can accept funds from a fundraiser, ori ifit would need to target a specific department such as the Police Ms. Moss made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
