The Council of the City of Creola, Alabama, met in the Creola City Hall at 5:30 p.m. A workshop was held before the Council Meeting at 5:30 pm. Present at the meeting was Mark Howell, Wendy Lynch, Cody Chambless, and Mayor Nelson. Items that were discussed was the Playground Status, Fire Department building roof, Fire Truck, Gazebo, APCO Lights, CSpire, Police Department Cameras, Race Trac Status, Zoning Ordinance, and the Fire Dept Grant The meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m. The regular council meeting was called to order by Mayor Don Nelson at 6:00 p.m. We were led inj prayer by Mr. Carl Walker. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Nelson. Roll call was taken by City Clerk Marcy Brown. Present at the meeting was Mayor Nelson, Mark Howell, Wendy Lynch, and Cody Chambless. Council Members Harold Parmer and Kendal Hadaway Item #5 -Approval of the Minutes = The minutes of February 10th and February 24th were not approved since some had not read the minutes or had not attended the meeting reflected in the were absent. Also present was City Attorney, Daniel Mims. minutes. Item #6- Financials/Bill List- Mayor Nelson gave an update on the finances and bank balances. Mr. Howell made a motion to approve the financials as presented. Mrs. Lynch seconded the motion. All in favor and the motion was carried. Public Works Department - Mr. Wayne is working on getting street signs replaced and Building Inspection Department - Mr. Moss needs to attend a building inspector conference in Orange Beach May 2-6, 2022 at a cost of $275.00Mr. Howell made a motion to send Mr. Moss to the conferençe and pay the $275. Registration fee. Mr. Chambless seconded the motion. All Zoning Board - Mr. Carl Walker stated that the Board of Adjustment met to approve the sign variance for Raçe Trac.
