BOOK X028 PAGE061  BARBOUR COUNTY SPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING  August 5, 2020 3:30am  SUSIE CVECHKO COMMISSION PRESIDENT, TIM MCDANIEL COMMISSIONER, JAMIE  CARPENTER COMMISSIONER, SHANA FREY ADMINISTRATOR Kim Lewis, Donna Holsey, Corey Brandon, Jared Nestor Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order and led the pledge.  Discussions were held regarding a storage unit to hold COVID-19 PPE. The unit will be placed within a secure location inside the gated parking at the Communications Center. On ar motion by Tim McDaniel and seconded by. Jamie Carpenter, a 10ft x 20ft storage unit from Taylor Enterprises in the amount of $4,945 was approved and will be paid with COVID-19 Block Grant Corey Brandon discussed necessary changes to the address and mapping data. A quote submitted from Atlas includes a three-part project- 1. Separate road segments. 2. Build the Master Street Address Guide. 3. Match addresses with Frontier data to provide name, address On a motion by Tim McDaniel and seconded by Jamie Carpenter, this quote was approved in the amount of $6,400 and to be paid from the Wireless Mapping & Address fund. Discussion was held regarding maintenance needs at the Fairgrounds. On a motion by Tim McDaniel and seconded by. Jamie Carpenter, 55 8ft treated posts were approved for purchase to fix the fence from the fair entrance booth to the show barn. Following a lengthy debate of pros and cons, a motion was made by Jamie Carpenter, then seconded by Tim McDaniel to open the fairgrounds, effective August 12. Concerns were discussed regarding opening the restroom facility and the process of winterizing; all were in agreeance to place two portable toilet facilities at the park area. All organizations requesting the use of grounds will be required to file an application for Park & Recreation Board approval. Organizations will be required to The County Commission asks for the public to follow all guidelines and to do their part. The grounds are subject to close without notice.
