City Manager Frank Rodriguez III---- ( City Manager's Report Update on Projects City Manager Frank Rodriguez explained that City is on the last phase oft the office buildings for the Landfill Construction. City Council has been able to be proactive in their approach to the aged infrastructure. They have been able to evaluate the needs ofthe community in dealing with the water, sewer, gas and broadband and remain conservative with the spending. He recapped that the last audit yielded the City's Net Position increased by $2.6 Million. The Fund Balance ended with $2,602,000.00 which is an increase of2.1% over the previous year. The following are some ofthe Projects Completed: Police Department & Dispatch area- $374,000.00 to complete the entire move. Most of the materials such as the wood, materials for the walls and tile for the flooring were located in Conex buildings from the 1033 program. Repairs and Remodel of the Recycling Center Repairs and Remodel of the Convention Center The Current Project is the Remodel of the City Hall Restrooms. The Future Projects for the City of Fort Stockton are: Landfill Sewer Tanks Gene Cummings Park Page186 Solar Lights Water Reclamation Planting of Grass and Trees Hodges Pavilion Pothole Repairs New equipment to help with the repairs. There is a little over a Million Dollars oft the American Rescue Funds that will be utilized for Infrastructure Repairs as directed by City Council. Mayor Joe Chris Alexander added that the City via the Convention and Visitor's Bureau as well as the Economic Development Corporation contributed to the remodel oft the Pecos County Civic Center and Coliseum. SPECIAL BUSINESS: 2. Discuss/Act upon the Prepayment Agreement between the City of Fort Stockton and MuniGas. (City Mgr./Dir. of Fin.) Director of Finance Maria Rodriguez explained that MuniGas is anticipating an increase inj price due to the price of gas. The financials they request to see are for the Enterprise Fund and not the General Fund. Therefore, they have requested a prepayment of $650,000.00 to Motion was made by Council Member Darren Hodges, seconded by Mayor Pro-Tem Paul Casias, and carried unanimously to approve the Prepayment Agreement between the City of] Fort Stockton and MuniGas. This would be a one-time payment for employees.
