Brandenburg) City Manager Paul Brandenburg introduced the item and explained that the City Council would like to meet at a Special Joint Meeting with the Public Works Commission before approving the The Commissioners determined that they would need to move their next meeting from 11.18.2024 due to schedule conflicts. They decided they would hold their next regular meeting on11.12.2024 Tuesday. (Day after Veterans Day, Monday is City Holiday). IfCity Council members wish, they can meet with the Commissioners in Special Joint Session on the 12th in conjunction with the PWC Regular Meeting, or the next day, in a Special Workshop that would be added onto the City Council November 13th Regular Meeting night. James Herrera introduced the agenda item and explained to the Commissioners that he had set up credentials for all three oft them to track the progress of these projects via the Monday.com." The City is looking into financing options for this plant. When built, the City will be less dependent on neighboring cities to provide us with the water we need. There was no formal action taken. d) Discussion, consideration, and possible action regarding the proposed Public Works City Manager Brandenburg explained that these proposed Public Works Commission bylaws will be part oft the discussion with City Council at the Joint Special Called meeting that was Commission bylaws. There was no formal action taken. 4) Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Update. /Impact Fees Project This standing item on the Public Works Commission agenda is for discussions, consideration and possible action regarding Capital Improvement Plans, including Transportation Improvement Plan(s), Drafting such plans, issuing Requests for Qualifications for engineeningplamning. firms to design these plans and any activity required to develop and implement Transportation Impact Fees for a) Update on Liberty Hill Capital Improvement Program (CIP). (J. Herrera) Public Works Project Manager Herrera explained that there is an update report in the agenda packet. The city is waiting for the Water and Wastewater Masterplans to be finished, respectively. These masterplans will have models within that will provide the roadmap ofwhich There was a brief discussion of sources of our water. City ofLeander provides the largest part of our water, and our own wells, and the Brazos River Authority. City of Georgetown provides City ofLiberty Hill with water usually only in drought emergencies. We have 'water rights to water in Lake Travis that we are seeking to get to. The Kaufmann Loop project is an option being new growth. projects need to be done and in what priority order. investigated for getting this water to us from Lake Travis. Thomison) This report also covers most oft the items already discussed tonight. Texas Department ofTransportation (TXDOT)- the City has reached out regarding the 4 way red lights at the intersection of Main and Ranch Road 1869. The City believes that the lights need to be better synchronized. Also, to assure they remain coordinated with the School Zones in front oft the Elementary School. If possible, the city may request that these lights become blinking lights at off-peak hours, such as late nights. The city's contactor who performs the routine street maintenance is Bennett Paving. They will be working at the end of Main Street to do maintenance. We are attempting to schedule this after the Christmas shopping season.
