Mayor Alexander asked for public comments pertaining to the Development of Nadine Acosta suggested the Community Recreation Facility have an indoor Octavio Contreras stated there are approximately 6-7 travel teams and suggested Justin Holland voiced the need to eliminate travel, which would bring money into our local economy. He agreed with the possibly ofc creating batting cages. Mayor Alexander inquired ift the batting cages in Odessa are frequently utilized. Octavio Contreras stated the batting cages are most frequently utilized during Joe Espino recalled his childhood when the HPE building was open to the public. Council Member Palileo suggested a Community Recreation Facility that that provides volleyball courts, basketball courts, an: arts & crafts center. A Community Council Member Warnock suggested a Community Recreation Facility with racquetball courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts and an infield area. Savanah Holland suggested opening the newly built pool to the public, which Octavio Contreras recalled Summer Recreation being held for smaller children from 8:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. The afternoon was open to older kids.
