Authorizing $7,000.00 to the Fort Stockton Recreation Department, for the Study of Future Plans, for the new Fort Stockton Recreational Facility, to be paid from the Recreation Director Ruby Bernal explained the intergovernmental Recreation Board is requesting $7,000.00 for the study of future plans for the New Fort Stockton Recreational Facility. Mayor Pro-Tem Paul Casias explained during their June Meeting the intergovernmental Recreation Board authorized the Recreation Director to request equal contributions of$7,000.00 from the City of Fort Stockton, Pecos County and the Fort Stockton Independent School District. Both Pecos County and the Fort Stockton Independent School District have approved their General Fund. (Rec. Dir.) portions. AM Spandex Nation and Texas Rain Bands will be playing live music The Class of2020 handed their contract for Inflatables over, Paid in Full for this event. Hungry Hippo, Jousting, Eliminator, Sumo Wrestling, Zombie Laser Tag, Big Wave Surfing, Ultimate Boxing and al Photobooth will be available to the public free of charge. CVB FUNDED EVENTS Water Carnival July 15-17,2021 Main Street Dance August 14, 2021 Council Member Falcon inquired the difference in visitors 30,000 average. There are more visitors at the Visitor Center than the Annie Riggs Museum and the Fort. We need to figure out a way to have the visitors from the Visitor Center also visit the Annie Riggs Museum. The Chamber stopped hosting the 4th ofJuly Event. This was not on CVB's list ofevents. Ifthis isg going to be a City Funded event it needs to be budgeted.
