City Attorney Puja Boinpally explained she was asked to draft an Ordinance to allow for additional bodies to be interred in a grave, vault, crypt or niche in the East Hill Cemetery with the consent ofe each owner oft the plot. This would allow no more than two (2) bodies and up to four (4) bodies that have been cremated to be interred in the same grave, vault crypt or niche. City Attorney Puja Boinpally explained she was asked to draft an Ordinance to address the use ofal Engine-Exhaust Braking System also known as a "Jake Brake," which can cause a lot ofnoise. Should this Ordinance pass, signs would be posted advising everyone that the use of a"Jake Brake" is a violation, except in the case of an emergency. Council Member Ruben Falcon inquired where these signs would be posted. City Manager Frank Rodriguez explained the City would get with the Texas Department ofTransportation for the recommended placement ofthe signs. City Manager Frank Rodriguez III requested City Council review Section One (1)and Section (2) of the Labor and Equipment Agreement. This agreement allows for the City of Fort Stockton and Pecos County to assist one another with labor and equipment. However, estimates for costs when payment is anticipated should be presented for prior approval. City Manager Frank Rodriguez III explained the City's annual contribution for the Hyper- Reach System is $2,487.50. This Emergency Communications Network allows the City and Council Member Ruben J. City Manager Frank Rodriguez III explained to City Council this Police Department Provider Agreement addresses the City of Fort Stockton paying the Medicare Rate for Offenders in Custody. The Medicare rate changed in July. This would allow the companies additional time to get cost estimates for the materials needed to complete the project. Bernal inquired iff frequent logs are completed on equipment being utilized. This would be beneficial to ensuring proper care is given to equipment.
