Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 3:34 PM MST. 2. Roll Call: Done by Rocio Rivas Members Present: Dr. Karen Herman, Charles Mais, Floyd Johnson, Members Absent: Lucio Glenn, Darby Winters, Rodolfo Mariscal, Claudia Ley, Laura Valdez, and Carmen Byers and Patrick Femandez-Cigamusta Consecutive Absences: Others Present: Claudia Cardoza, Miriam Garcia, Adrian Guzman, Rocio Rivas, and Naomi Castro 3. Public Comment: None at this time. 4. Approval of Minutes: Claudia Ley called for a motion to approve the minutes from the June 11,2024, PAC: meeting. Carmen Byers made ai motion to approve, and Floyd Johnson seconded the motion. All members voted to approve the motion, none opposed. Motion Passed. 5. - Discussion and Action on Artist Selection for Chief. Allen Memorial Project: Claudia Ley introduced Item #2. Adrian went into detail about the proposed project, explaining how the memorial would be al bronze stump, which would bea realistic rendition of Chief Allen. Also explained was how this preliminary budget and timeline that was proposed by the artist. Adrian shared photographs of examples of the artist work to the members. A discussion was held with questions and concers being answered. Item moved forward for vote; Floyd Johnson made motion to approve, and Carmen Byers seconded the motion. All voted ini favor; no one opposed. Motion Passed. 6. Discussion and Action on Artist Selection for EPIA Terminal Landscape: Claudia Ley introduced item #: 3. Adrian Guzman introduced the project for Artist Michael Stutz, who would be the chosen artist for this project. Adrian Guzman explained how the EI Paso International Airport asked the artist work on horses. Also explained is that the artist is working on 5 horses, which are to be place in separate locations around the airport. A discussion was held with Claudia Ley making a motion to approve, and Floyd Johnson seconded the motion. All voted in favor; no one opposed. Motion Passed. 7. Adjournment of Meeting: Laura Valdez made motion to adjourn meeting and Karen Herman seconded the motion. All voted in favor to adjourn; no one isa to for vote with questions and concerns all answered. Item moved forward being opposed. The meeting was adjourned at 3:51 PMI MST.
