Mayor Ford explained that the authorized signatures for the utility fund accounts at TexPool must be updated in order to transact withdrawals/deposits from the accounts. Community Development Report - Councilman Jimmie Grimes talked about Councilman Fruge and Councilman Merendino spreading thet free loads of dirt from Jefferson Counfy Pct,1 around the basketball Court area. Mayor Comments: City of Bevil Oaks participation in the National Flood Insurance Plan (NFIP) Mayor didt talk about the City participation with FEMA. In December there will be al District Wide meeting held at Ford Park- December 5", 2012. Fema is coming out with a new map, thet first since 1987. The Flood Zones for Bevil Oaks could look different on the new map. Bevil Oaks has already received $5 million dollars in claim money' with Fema since joining the program in 1976. City Attorney Dru Montgomery, Question and Answer Period" Our City Attorney got up and answered questions on the Tohme Litigation Settlement. Jane Hebert's main comment was that she and her husband attended allt the meetings for the BOMUD Board Meetings. She was under thei impression from Mr. Tohme himself that BOMUD did not owel him any money. Mrs. Hebert feels like Mr.Tohme lied to the Citizens of Bevil Oaks and misled them at the meetings. Colleen Grimes asked how many signatures doesi it take fora a signed contract. Answer is (2) Joan Howard told Mr.Montgomery that she felt like he limited our City discussions. She felt like more citizens would get involved ifi the City Council could answer their questions. Mr. Montgomery explained why we can't! have town hall typel business meetings. New FIRM MAPS are being re-done and the maps have not been changed since 1987. Some Residents that were noti in Flood Zones in the past will now bei in a Flood Zone. Others that were in Flood Zones will now not be. Sewer plant remains in Zone. X. Residents with Mortgages and are in Flood Zones are required to purchase Flood Insurance. Building & Grounds Report - Councilwoman Sherry Adams to report oni the Civic Center painting: Councilwoman Sherry Adams reported' "The community service person that we thought would be available top paintt the Civic Center is not going to be available." Councilwoman Adams contacted Jefferson Co.,as well as Hardin County Community service coordinator's.
