SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 WISE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETING On this the gth day of September A.D., 2024 at 8:40 A.M. came on to be had a Public Hearing of the Commissioners' Court of Wise County, Texas held in the Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 2 Courtroom (200 Rook Ramsey Drive, Decatur, TX) of said County in the town ofDecatur with the following members present and presiding: J.D. Clark John "Biff" Hayes Kevin Burns Danny Lambert Colby Shawn County Judge Commissioner, Precinct No. 1 Commissioner, Precinct No. 2 Commissioner, Precinct No. 3 Commissioner, Precinct No. 4 Blanca Tuma, County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of Commissioners' Court when and where the All attachments referred to in the minutes of the Wise County Commissioners' Court are designated original or copy and are provided at the time of action by the Court unless otherwise following proceedings were had, to-wit: indicated by provider. County Judge Clark votes aye on all agenda items unless otherwise indicated. Clark opens the public hearing at 8:40 A.M. All court members were present. Clark stated the purpose of this public hearing is to receive public discussion of the proposed adoption ofaj plan for restoration and preservation ofrecords in the County Clerk's office and associated with the County Clerk Archive Fund. Said plan includes as County Clerk's records archive fee of not more than ten dollars ($10.00) for said County Clerk's restoration and preservation of records. Ifapproved in a subsequent duly called Wise County Commissioners Meeting, the fee must be set by the Commissioners Court and itemized in aj public meeting separate from this Public Hearing. County Clerk, Blanca Tuma, communicated to the court how these funds have provided for projects such as what the clerk's office is doing to preserve the old records that have been stored in the basement ofthe W.A.R.M. building for numerous years. Tuma presented photos ofthe condition of the old documents as well as presented some ofthe new books made from these. Tuma states they are now completely sealed and capsulated, as well as waterproof: and fireproof. She expresses gratitude and excitement to be able to do this type of project in order to preserve these historical documents. (see attachment) No one from the public commented on this item.
