SPEAKER  Johnnie Williams was in attendance to speak on agenda item GFL when the item came up. OPEN FORUM  NONE 12.5.23 Works Session  1    OLD BUSINESS  CHAIRMAN COFFEYt told the Commission that the Attorney left aj packet withl his updates and that he would be availablel by phonei if needed and that we would go over any ofthe updates ifr needed as they pertained County Manageri informed the Commission that the County Christmas' Tree Lighting would bel Friday December 8th and the Parade would be Saturday December the gth. He: also gave the Commission each aj packet  to agenda items.  with updates on ABM and Ms. Robin Dunn and the new cemetery by laws.  NEW BUSINESS  County Manageri informed the Commission that hel had noi new business to discuss. employee holiday calendar, Seconded by Commissioner Frost. The vote was unanimous.  EMPLOYEE HOLDAYCALENDAR 2024:Motion madel by Commissioner Biddle to accept the 2024 COMMISSION MEETING CALENDAR 2024: Motion was made by Commissioner Frost to accept the work Session calendar with the 6pm meeting date, there was no: second after some discussion. Motion to accept the Commission meeting calendar with Work Sessions at 9:00 AM madel by Commissioner Douglas, Seconded by Commissioner Biddle. The vote was passed, with Chairman Coffey voting for the motion, BOX SPRINGS RD: Motion to accept the proposal from Brewer woods, and give the easement as-is, not the road,, just easement access, County would have no expense ini it, but would: still maintain ownership of the road, made by Commissioner Biddle, Seconded by Commissioner Frost. The vote was unanimous. GELGARBAGE INCREASE: Chairman Coffey spoke with Attorney said contract would have tol be rewritten, it is not month to month. Mr. Johnnie Williams was in attendance, he informed the Commission that GFL didn'thave: a copy ofany contract with the county and that ifthe county did, that it was) probably from when itl belonged tol MDI. Commissioner Biddle: stated contract is showing MDI however it should've continued with GFLwhen they bought them out. Mr. Williams asked for a copy oft the contract for his records. He will take itl back tol his manager and then come back to the Commission. CHANGINGOEDECEMBER WORK SESSION: Motion to change the date oft the December Work Session to December 27th made by Commissioner Biddle, Seconded by Commissioner Douglas. ENGINEERING PROPOSAL BIDS: Sewage project grant bids from Barge & EMC Engineering Services Inc., Motion made to accept the Bidi from Barge made by Commissioner Biddle, Seconded by  and Commissioner Frost voting against the motion.  for update. The vote was unanimous.  XECUTIVESISSION:  AMotion wasi made to gointo executive session at 6:26] p.m. Commissioner Biddle made the Motion, seconded by Commissioner Douglas. The vote to enter executive session was unanimous.  Regular meeting reconvened: votes were cast within the session.  The regular meeting reconvened at 7:17 p.m. Chairman Coffey made the statement that the subjects discussed during the closed meetings were within the legal exceptions to the open meetings law and that no Chairman Coffey asked Mrs. Bickel when the county Christmas party would be, shei replied December15"h from 12:00-2:00 at the: rec center.
