Actionltems 1IPage  REGULAR CALLED MEETING    City Manager Ramos conducted a review of the needs assessment and proposed salary for aj full-time police chief. The council deliberated on the proposed budget figures and tax rate. While there is as strong interest in hiring aj full-time police chief, there is also a hesitation to raise taxes. The council expressed a preference toj first explore potential budget cuts before considering a taxi increase. Council Member Rob Green emphasized the importance of providing a clear public notice if a taxi increase becomes necessary, to ensure, publici input. The mayor recommended, further analysis of the budget and potential cuts, with a plan to revisit the issue at the next council meeting  7. City Hall AC units had annual maintenance in preparation for summer. 2. New roping and flags have been installed on the two Flag Poles in Sylvia Tucker  Memorial Park and the Flagpole at City Hall.  CITY EVENTS  1. Memorial Day Ceremony was attended by approximately 50 citizens. Iwould like to thank City Hall Staff, Judge Gene Isenhour, Alderman Debbie Hernandez, and Mayor J.W. Wilkerson for their support in making this a successful event.  OTHER UPDATES  1.
