CITY OFI NEW BERLIN CITYHALL 9180 FM 775 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES Monday, September 9, 2024  PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION  CALLTO ORDER:  TheMonday, September 9, 2024, Planning and Zoning Commisionmeeting was calledtoorder  at7:01 p.m. by Chairperson, Diana Strey.  ROLL CALL:  Commission members in attendance were Chairperson Diana Strey, Vice Chairman Jeff Wurzbach, Rachael Howell, Sharon Burger, EJ Trivette and New Berlin City Council  Liaison Kim Schlichting. MAYOR'SCOMMENTS:  The mayor was not in attendance. CHAIRPERSON'S COMMENTS: everyone maintained a civil tone.  The Chairperson Diana Strey stated that community comments were allowed as long as  PUBLIC COMMENTS:  Public Comments were made by multiple community members many were not happy with the deviation from previous ordinance stating a minimum ofa. 5 acre lot. Many community members were unhappy with the selling ofland to. Dollar General. Wide range ofissues were discussed in regards to having Dollar General develop a store. Discussion for Request for a' Variance Discussion and Consideration and/or action approving a request for a variance toj plat for subdividing 2.500 acres of property from 40.6000 acres ofl land out oft the. Juan Jose Guerrera Survey A-140, City ofNew Berlin, Guadalupe County, Texas. Being out of the called residue of that certain tract called 96.05 acres in distribution deed from Jacquelyn A. Schultze, independent executrix oft the estate ofNelson Wayne Schultze, deceased to. Jacquelyn A.  Schultze (50% interest) on 12-20-18 in 201899028579.    Motion was made to approve documentation movingforward to the city council. Motion made by 2. Discussion for Request to Subdivide for Commercial Property - Discussion and Consideration and/or action approving a request fors subdividing 2.350 acres of property from 26.648 acres of land out of the Vicenta Duran Survey, Abstract No.19 Guadalupe County, Texas for commercial property.
