July 2024, the City Council of the City ofl Karnes City, Texas convened ina a Special Meeting at 5:00 P.M. in the City Hall with the following members answering to "Roll  Call":  Mayor: Leroy T. Skloss Mayor - Pro-Tem: Jimmy D. Loya, Sr. Councilmembers: Lillian Lyssy, Aaron Rosales Donald Dziuk and Helen Hernandez (arrived @ 5:38 pm)  Councilmembers absent: Helen Hernandez 4. Public Comments - No comments. NEW BUSINESS "CONSIDER AND ACT UPON":  Others present were: City Manager/City Secretary Veronica Butler  5. Discuss and consider proposal from Texas First Group for Interim City Manager services and to assist in search and selection of new City Manager - A motion was made by Councilmember Loya and seconded by Councilmember Lyssy to discuss matter inc closed session. The vote was 4-0 in favor and the motion was declared unanimously passed. Mayor and Council convened into closed session at 5:04PM. After discussion in closed session, the Mayor and Council reconvened into open session at 5:49 pm. No 6. Discuss and take possible action on appointing city council members for Search Committee for hiring for new city manager - A motion was made by Councilmember Lyssy and seconded by Councilmember Rosales to appoint Mayor Skloss, Councilmember Loya and Councilmember Dziuk to the hiring committee. The vote was 5-0 in favor and the motion was declared unanimously passed. 7. Adjournment - There being no: further discussion, a motion was made by Councilmember.
