SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF KARNES CITY MARCH 12, 2024  STATE OF TEXAS) COUNTY OFI KARNES) CITY OF KARNES CITY)  On this 12th day ofl March 2024, the City Council oft the City of Karnes City, Texas convened in a Special Meeting at 5:00 P.M. in the City Hall with the following members answering to "Roll  Call":  Mayor: Leroy" T. Skloss Mayor - Pro-Tem: Jimmy D. Loya, Sr. Councilmembers: Lillian Lyssy, Helen Hernandez  Donald Dziuk and Aaron Rosales  Councilmembers absent:  Others present were: City Manager/City Secretary Veronica Butler  4. Public Comments - No comments. NEW: BUSINESS "CONSIDER, AND ACT UPON":  5. Executive Session - The City Council of the City of Karnes City may convene in Executive Session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 (Consultations with Attorney) on matters in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly requires discussion in closed session) and Section 551.074 (Personnel Matters). Mayor Skloss and Council convened into executive session at 5:01pm. 6. Return to Open Session -) Discuss and take possible action on items discussed Executive Session Mayor Skloss and Council reconvened into open session at 5:24  (A) Discussion on status of hiring of new City Manager  pm in which: no action was taken.  7. Adjournment - There being no further discussion, ai motion was made by Councilmember Loya and seconded by Councilmember Hernandez to adjourn the meeting.
