Member Cagle moved to approve the minutes) for the Park and Events Board Meeting  held August 29, 2024, as presented. Board Member Weeks seconded the motion. Motion carried - all ayes.  B. Discuss and provide recommendations ofadding park activities/amenities with Shannon Pruitt, City Secretary read the background information, from the Briefing Memo.  grant funds. Presented by Katherine Reading, City Manager  Swings:  Board members discussed option 1) Expression Swing Universal and option 3) Zero-  GSwing Chair, replacing lalready in existence (infant swing) First swing would be tof fill an empty spot on swing set  Surfacing: No ramp needed No grass Shading: Multi-Sail Umbrella Shade in NW corner Music: Beat Club Jazz A Minor Music Time Recommendation:  Ground cover approved w/drainage going all the way to the fence  Put in PIP. Presented by  Katherine Reading, City Manager  Mechanical Bull Bounce Houses 50 Vendors Porta Johns Battle Axe Throwing  Carolyn.Jones starts October 1, 2024, Cityof Grandview Community Outreach  Coordinator, Liaison to Parks Board, she will attend meetings Wer need 6 electrical plugs in at the park Looking into moving Heritage Days to the Spring  Update on bathroom at the park, location to be where it was originally (no timeline at  this time)  D. Discuss Veterans Parade and Event. Katherine Reading, City Manager  Will Martin volunteered to mow the Memorial Park toe execute events, organization ofevents, delegation  Discussion over direction from the Parks Board.for staff regarding events, support  Parade route approved  Bagpipes - Individual booked, waiting, for response, from another person Do we have time to put together a parade for this year?
