FORNEY 3W7  MINUTES - BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT Tuesday, August 13, 2024-6:00 p.m. Forney City Hall Annex 101 East Main Street  I.  CALLTO ORDER  Chair Brian Reese called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. Present were board members and alternates Brian Reese, Terese Rice, Clinton Kirk, and Sierra Owens. Also, present were Director of Community Development Peter Morgan, Senior City Planner Alex Dixon, City Attorney Jon Thatcher and Board Secretary Kylee Goodson. Board members and alternates, Caz Tankersley and Phillip Baxter were absent. Jon Thatcher led a brief training session for  new members and a refresher for current members.  II. CONSENTI ITEMS  1. Consider approval ofthe April 9, 2024, Board of Adjustment meeting minutes. Mr. Kirk made a motion to approve the minutes. Ms. Rice seconded the motion. The motion  passed by a vote of4 ayes and 0 nays. III. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS  1. Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of variances to the landscape Senior Planner Alex Dixonintroduced the item. No public comments were noted. Chair Reese opened up the public hearing at 6:32 p.m. and the applicant, Mr. Matthews spoke. He asked Chair Reese closed the public hearing at 6:38 p.m. Following a brief discussion, Chair Reese made a motion to approve the variance request. Ms. Rice seconded the motion. The motion 2. ChairReese opened up the public hearing at 6:40 p.m. The applicant, Mr. Wilson, spoke in  requirements for 802 East Broad Street.  the board to consider the request. No one else from the public spoke.  passed with 4 ayes and 0 nays. Public hearing was closed at 6:41 p.m. Chair Reese made a motion to approve the variance request. Mr. Kirk seconded the motion.  The motion passed with a vote of4 ayes and 0 nays.  ADJOURNMENT  There being no further business to bring before the board, Brian Reese made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:41 p.m. Clinton Kirk seconded the motion.
