Approve minutes of the regular meeting held October 3, 2024 Motion by Dr. Marshall, seconded by Mr. Tiner to approve the minutes oft the regular meeting held October 3, 2024. 1 Vote on the Motion: Ayes: Ms. Franklin, Dr. Marshall, Mr. Phillips, Mayor Ward, Mr. Addison, Mr. Tiner Noes: None Motion carried unanimously. V. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER A. CONTRACT C-373 Award Cedar Creek Townhomes drainage project Bennett Howell gave the following report: The Cedar Creek Townhomes are located in northeast Benbrook, between Bellaire Drive and a natural oxbow of the Trinity River. Heavy rain events have eroded soil and compromised the structural integrity of the City's drainage outfall at this area, as shown on Figure 1. The project involves removing the existing headwall, extending the storm drain to the oxbow bank, and constructing a new headwall ati the outfall. Bids were received and opened on September 26, 2024, with the following results: Company Bid Amount ($) $124,460.00 $127,011.50 $128,750.00 $148,325.00 $186,375.00 $283,677.60 Tex-Pro Construction, LLC Patcon Services, LLC GRod Construction, LLC RNO Construction, LLC Atkins Bros Equipment Co, LLC Tellus Services, LLC Tex-Pro Construction, LLC submitted the low bid of $124,460.00. Tex-Pro Construction, LLC is a reputable contractor with the necessary experience and references. The Stormwater Utility will fund the project. 2 Motion by Ms. Franklin, seconded by Mr. Addison to award the Cedar Creek Townhomes Drainage Project contract to Tex-Pro Construction, LLC for $124,460.00.
