SNEADS TOWN COUNCIL BUDGET HEARING/: SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 30, 2024  The Town Council oft the Town of Sneads, Florida, met in a budget hearing/ special meeting at  the Sneads Town Hall on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 5:01 p.m. Mike Weeks called the meeting to order with the following present:  Mike Weeks, Angela Locke Tony Money, Kay Neel and Tim Perry, Council Members Bill Rentz, Town Manager Sherri Griffin, City Clerk Danielle Guy, Deputy Clerk And the following were absent: Daniel Cox, Attorney  Mrs Guy asked for approval on the following items in reference to parades:  Council approval to reschedule the SHS Homecoming Parade to the date ofthe school's choice due to the storm causing them to cancel. Toney Money made a to approve. Angie Council approval for the Town to continue doing the FDOT parade permits for SHS, including rescheduled permits, every year until further notice. Toney Money made a Approval for all future SHS Homecoming, Christmas Parades or other Parades that require a permit to be set & rescheduled at the discretion of the Town Manager and/or Staff and School Principal. Tony Money made ai motion to accept Resolution  PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE. #24-08 as presented. Kay Neel seconded. All voted aye.  Resolution #24-09 entitled:  Al RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE FINAL: BUDGET ($14,176,673) FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. was read and presented for the final reading. WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Sneads ofJackson County, Florida, on September 30, 2024, adopted Fiscal Year Final Millage Rate following aj public hearing as  required by $ 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Sneads of. Jackson County, Florida, held a WHEREAS, the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt from taxation within Jackson County has been certified by the County Property Appraiser to the Town of  public hearing as required by S 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  Sneads as $47,855,286.  NOW, THEREFORE, BEI IT RESOLVED BY' THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE SECTION1. The FY 2024-2025 final operating millage rate is 4.0883 mills, which is greater than the rolled-back rate of3.2909 mills. Percent change over rolled back rate is 24.23%. SECTION 2. Jackson County, Florida, set forth the appropriations and revenue estimate for the Budget Fiscal year 2024-2025 in the  public hearing as required by $ 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  amount of $14,176,673;  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE  TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA as follows:  SECTION 1. The Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is adopted.  SECTION: 2.
