SNEADS TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL/PUBLIC MEETING September 16, 2024  The Town Council of the Town of Sneads, Florida meti inaspecial/public session at the Sneads  Town Hall on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 5:01 p.m. Mike' Weeks called the meeting to order withi thet following present:  Mike Weeks, Angela Locke, Anthony Money, Timmy Perry, Kay! Neel, Councilmembers. Bill Rentz, Town Manager Sherri B. Griffin, City Clerk and thet following were absent: Daniel Cox, Attorney Danielle Guy, Deputy Clerk Tyler Weeks, Police Chief Resolution #24-06 entitled:  ARESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE LEVYING OF AD' VALOREM TAXES FOR THE TOWN OF SNEADS FOR FISCAL YEAR: 2024-2025; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  was read and presented by City Clerk, Sherri Griffin. Mrs. Griffin stated that the millage ratei is 4.0883 which is greater than the rolled-back rate of 3.2909 mills. Percent change over rolled back rate is 24.23%. Timmy Perry made ar motion to accept Resolution #24-06 as presented and read.  Angie Locke seconded. All voted aye. Resolution #24-07 entitled:  ARESOLUTION OFTHE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR: 2024-2025; AND  PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  was presented and read by City Clerk, Sherri Griffin, with at total budget of $14,176,673. Angie Locke made a motion to accept Resolution #24-07 as presented and read. Kayl Neel seconded. All  voted aye.  Angie Locke made ai motion to adjourn at 5:03 p.m.  Respectulysubmited, Sherri B. WHEREAS, the Town Council ofthe Town of Sneads of. Jackson County, Florida, on September 16, 2024, adopted Fiscal Year Tentative Millage Rate following a public hearing as  required by $ 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  WHEREAS, the Town Council ofthe Town of Sneads of. Jackson County, Florida, held a WHEREAS, the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt from taxation within Jackson County has been certified by the County Property Appraiser to the Town of  public hearing as required by $ 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  Sneads as $47,855,286.  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE SECTION 1.7 The FY 2024-2025 tentative operating millage rate is 4.0883 mills, which is greater than the rolled-back rate of3.2909 mills. WHEREAS, the Town Council oft the Town of Sneads of Jackson County, Florida, held a WHEREAS, the Town Council oft the Town of Sneads of. Jackson County, Florida, set forth the appropriations and revenue estimate for the Budget Fiscal year 2024-2025 in the  public hearing as required by $ 200.065, FLA. STAT. (2019); and  amount of$13,901,994;  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE SECTION1. The Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is adopted.  TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA as follows:  SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and  adoption.
