APPROVAL OF AGENDA 15 17 18 Chairman Tom Braaten presented the ECAHF Board with the Regular Agenda for their 19 approval. COMMITTEE REPORTS Aircraft Curator Report A-4. Rich Hazlett stated he is working on replacement pieces for the Guy Nelson mentioned if Rich Hazlett needed custom parts for the aircraft he may have some contacts to assist. Rich Hazlett said he is considering changing out the pilot uniform to desert drab for a change of pace. Richl Hazlett mentioned hei is expecting some donations from the estate of Floyd Quisenberry which will be uniforms that are mostly damaged but he may be able to salvage some items from them. Hea also shared some MCI Coursel books from 1965,never used, as well as guide books, 1955-1956, basic training manuals Pam Holder presented the ECAHF budget mentioning a new fiscal year has started revenues and expenses started over. She explained the expenditures. The carryover has not yet been City Manager Christopher McGee made a motion to approve the Budget Report, with no discussion, the motion carried Exhibit Report and Marine Corp history books. Guy Nelson offered to assist with marketing for the Fall Partnership. Pam Holder stated that the event is not open to the general public but to members and partners to show appreciation and promote new membership growth. Will be discussed with Old Business and New Business. Marketing Report Development Committee Report 2. OLD BUSINESS A. 2025 Gala: February 21, 2025 Chairman Tom Braaten asked if we have had any response to the application for a guest speaker from NASA and Pam Holder reported Markl Meno commented that NASA: requires eight weeksl lead time before an event date sol he expects we shouldh hear within six weeks ofapplication Chairman Tom Braaten stated we will: need time toj plan fora an alternative Chairman Tom Braaten mentioned the sponsorship levels for the Gala and if they should be adjusted. Development Committee Chairman Adam Persky stated the levels were discussed at the meeting and the recommendation. was to not adjust the sponsorship levels. He also mentioned the Development Committee had discussed having the Oculus. Chairman Tom Braaten reminded the BOD: if they knew anyone who would be interested in joining to invite them. Pam Holder mentioned the caterers scheduled are The Flame, Mission BBQ,TEC, and Mucho Bueno and additional possibilities are Chairman Tom Braaten stated the ECAHF Mission Statement has been finalized and Guy Nelson will begin working on the Vision F. Recommendations for At-Large Seat and Retired Marine/Navy Seat Sagebrush and Moore's BBQ. E. New ECAHF Mission Statement Statement. Development Committee Chair Adam Persky reported the Committee had discussed several candidates and contact willl be made with them. The Board also discussed potential candidates. 3. NEW BUSINESS A. National Night Out Chairman Tom Braaten announced National Night Out will be on October 1 and suggested that ECAHF participate. A sign-up sheet was distributed for members to commit to attend. Development Committee Chair Adam Persky announced the Committee will have the monthly meeting at the park. ECAHF will have tol bring the tent, table and chairs. Items to pass out to attendees will be balsa planes, dragonflies, water bottles, and temporary tattoos. 128 IV. MEMBER COMMENTS City Manager Christopher McGee stated the Chili Festival is October 19th. Unofficially, NCDOTi is hoping to have the bypass by the weekl before Thanksgiving. The widening of Miller Blvd/HWY 101 right of way acquisitions should start July Guy Nelson attended a Craven Community College program where 2 Marines and one. Army vet won national level competition in engineering solutions. He stated he was impressed they were able to go through the program within the college. Chairman Tom Braaten stated it would be interesting to see ift they could speak at Mary Beth Fennell reported that on September 24ta and 25th STEM East is partnering with FRC East and Craven Community College on an. Aviation Sciences Workshop 2025, with construction to start Spring 2029. the Summer Camp.
