Callt to Order Chairperson Christine Bogenrieder called the meeting to order at 6:30pm. Committee Members present: Christine Bogenrieder, Kristi Royston, and Gary' Venable. Community! Members present: Tim Terilli, Danal Mann, Debil Krause, Dean Coy, and Betty! Lyle. Kristi Royston made a motion to accept with as second by Gary Venable. Approval passed B. Approval of the July 22, 2024 Minutes unanimously. C. Back to School Event Recap Everyone feltt the event went well. The vendors told committee members they! had ag good night and included that people not attendingt thet trivia event walked up and bought items. Ito came in under budget evenr needing thel Portal Potty! because oft the Community Center pipei issues. D. Sunflower Festival News Bettyl Lyle shared the Sunflower Festival update. She recently met with Mayor Krause. Thes spaces are sold out and they'ves started a cancelation list. The layout will be completed in at few days. The Event Committee and The Halloween Committee booths will be beside eacho other sincet they share many of thes same members. There will be a community meeting at 6:30pm, on September: 9. E. Porchfest News Tim Terilli provided thel Porchfest update. He shared that there will be 10 porches, 20 bands, a storyteller, al beginner drawing lesson, and ab beginner guitar lesson. The headliner will play ont the Workers are needed1 for the Information Table. There will be printouts with the map and schedule. Terilli'sp porch. After the event, there will be morel live music at Edee's. Apalacheel High School BBQ Club will be selling food. F. Halloween Scavenger Hunt (October 19) The group hopes toi involve local businesses and incorporate Statham's history. There willl be a cost to playa and a chancet to win prizes. The committee will continue to work out details. High-level ideas including riddles or clues tol locations were discussed. Participants would get cards stamped and submit them when completed. Thet tentative registration time is 7:00am. Debi Krause mentioned that her daughter is the Apalachee High School basketball coach and the players might be willing tol heip. H. Monster Mash (October 26, 6:00pm-10:00pm) Eventeny. There will be al DJ and costumes. Trick or Treating (October: 31, 5:00pm-9:00pm) 1101 tickets available fort the dance at the American Legionwith about 256 already: sold. Details are on Gary' Venable provided the Trick or Treating updates. Hes shared that Home Depot donated: a 12-foot skeleton and thatt there are currentlyf four sponsors with more needed. He estimated that 4,000 pieces of candy would cost $400. Downtown will be decorated on September 22 and the committee wants to encourage early decorations throughout the community. There will bey photo spots throughout the area. Food trucks willi include Night Sky Coffee, Pizzal Flambe, and' Woozie' Wagon. The committee discussed thei idea of a pumpkin carving/decorating: contest for local businesses. Statham Police Department will provide security. The Tree Committee willl buy banners. Veterans Day Ceremony and Banner Update (November 9) The banners might be ordered eveni if the required minimum isn'tmet. K. Holiday Market, Parade, and Tree Lighting/November: 30) The market will be 3:00pm - 8:00pm. The parade will start at 6:00pm. Chairperson Bogenrieder shared that the deadline to purchase veteran! banners was approaching. Committee Members Shannon! Patterson and Lacie Dooley are getting the parade applicationn ready. There was al brief discussion about the possibility of the Antique Shops having their open! house the same night. L. RomComTrivia Night (February 15, 2025, 6:00pm-9 9:00pm) Al brief discussion on holding thist trivia event int the Community Center. M. St. Patrick's Day Parade and Paws for a Cause 5k (March 15, 2025) The 5k will be first and the parade will start at 11:00am. having a green clover and using the phrase "Clover for Rover". N. Makers Market/Arti int the Alley (April 12, 2025) Moneyt from the 5k will go to Statham's Dog Park. The committee discussed and liked thei idea of Vendort tables int the Community Center like they werei in: 2024 and extend to outside. O. Cities Week (April 20-26, 2025) Ont the calendar but no plans yet. Statham City! Hall P.O. Box: 28- - 327 Jefferson! St. Statham, GA3 30666 P. May-lune-2-Saturday, in Statham Food' Trucks are planned fori thet third Friday of each month. After discussion, it was decided that Friday nights would be better than Saturdays.1 Tentatively, these Discussions continued for May and June, 2025 activities including DJS and bands for as street dance.
