The Carl Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday October 1,2024 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Pro Tem David Pyle called the meeting to order with the following present: LaDonna Allen, Rick Flinn, Walter Hayes, Hollie LaVigne, Bob McAfee, and Carole Wofford. Also present were City Administrator Stevel Lawver, City  Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield.  AGENDA  Holliel LaVigne motioned to amend the agenda to strike number six, thep presentation of the life saving award to Officer Bindel, Carole Wofford seconded. Alli in favor. Holliel LaVigne asked about the expenditures to thel Maryl Mitchell Estate, S&S Computers, and Steve Thomas. LaDonna Allen motioned to approve the consent agenda. Walter Hayes seconded. DISCUSSION OF GYM) RENTAL FEES  Stevel Lawver said there was al letteri included in thej packet from Ken Wickstrom explaining what! he wants to do anda aj proposed agreement for non-profit organizations outside the city limits. Hollie LaVigne asked who thei non-profits are that reserve the gym and then don'ts show up. Steve Lawver said there is al homeschool association and a volleyball team that reserve it also. Hollie LaVigne said she would be ini favor of charging out oft town non-profit organizations and LaDonna Allen agreed. There was a consensus among  the council that the fees could be charged. Budget/Finance: LaDonna Allen said if anyone wanted a copy of the budget activity for the first four months of the year it is  thej project ourselves, rather than accepting grant money.  start next week.
