MINUTES FOR THE REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING OF THE WHITFIELD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2024, AT 5:30 P.M. AT THE COURTHOUSE  BOC MEETING ROOM LOCATED AT 205 N. SELVIDGE STREET  SPECIAL CALLED MEETING The Chairman called the meeting to order. Pledge of allegiance to the Flag Roll call to determine quorum The following members were present: Jevin Jensen, Chairman Barry W. Robbins, Vice-Chair Robby Staten, Member John Thomas, Member Greg Jones, Member  Others Present: Robert Smalley, County Attorney Robert Sivick, County Administrator Department Heads Citizens Press  A Motion to approve the agenda was made by Commissioner Robbins and seconded by  Commissioner Staten. Approval of the agenda was unanimous.  FOR CONSIDERATION:  1. Appointment of Fire Chief: Motion was made by Commissioner Robbins and seconded by Commissioner Staten to name Paul Patterson as the new Fire Chief for Whitfield County. Chairman Jensen and the Commissioners congratulated and welcomed Mr. Patterson to Whitfield County. The motion was approved 5-0, with Commissioners Robbins, Staten,  Thomas, Jones and Chairman Jensen in agreement.
