BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES OCTOBER 16, 2024 The Board ofCounty Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00. AM. Those present were. Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Susan Corliss, and Theresa Korbelik. In-Person Schedule- - Commissioners Board Room 8:00 AM- - Work Session 9:00 AM- Collin Koop Grounds & Buildings Quotes for sheep pens for the fairgrounds are starting to come in; Collin will work with Scott Stinnet on the final decision; the 4-H Council has funds available. A new map for the carnival area includes the two newi rides and the entry to the carnival will be from the Vendors Row. The Round Upi ridel has arrived and is being set up and Ferris Wheel will be coming in the next few weeks. Bids were presented for the concrete pad for the Ferris Wheel to be started by the first ofnext week. Aeschliman Construction-S6,000 Donn Witzel Construction - $5,000 Aj possible vehicle for the Mobile Emergency Command Center will be looked at before any further discussion. Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 9:28 AM. Those present were Dave Hornung, Cory Wall, Stan Hitchcock, Theresa Korbelik, Jennifer Gribble, and Susan Corliss. 9:30 AM-I DHS-I Monthly Financials 10:30 AM-Josh Dorn - Ranch Rodeo See the Board of] Human Services agenda and minutes. Mr. Dorn was unable to attend. The board stated that Monday night is the night open for the Ranch Rodeo and that a future discussion will need to bel held on the bank account. 11:00 AM-Jeff Cure County Attorney A list of road crossings for the pipeline were reviewed by board with Jeff checking the locations with the online Kit Carson County County Road Map. It was determined that all of the locations would need to be bored under. Discussion was held on disconnection from an annexation. 12:00 PM-Lunch The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:00 PM: returning at 1:00 PM. New Items 2.A 2025 Cheyenne County Communication Center Contract-S $130,000 - Dispatch Stan Hitchcock moved to authorize signing the Kit Carson County Communication Center Contract with terms of agreement for one year with Cheyenne County effective January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, for compensation of $130,000 to be split and paid in. January and. June for two extra staffr members and 20% ofthe expensesi incurred by the Communication Center less salary, benefits, and utilities, seconded by Cory Wall. Time worked over 40 hours will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate and employees will receive compensation for call pay, weekday/weeknignt coverage, weekend/holiday coverage and supervisor/transter organizer coverage. Call pay Call pay will be paid out per calendar month. Call pay will be based on the schedules that are in the KCCAS ambulance shed office on the bulletin board. If you cover for somebody, you need to let the KCCAS director know in some traceable form of such coverage. Fairgrounds Concrete Project unanimous vote by Dave Hornung.
