City ofHudson Council Meeting Minutes  City Council of the City of Hudson, Texas, met in regular session Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the City Hall Council Room, 3458 Ted Trout Dr., Hudson, Texas, at 3:00p.m.  1. Call to Order 2. Invocation 3. Quorum Check  Mayor Robert Smith called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Councimember Phil Adkison gave the invocation.  Quorum Check was called by City Secretary Cheryl Everett. DISCUSSION. AND ACTION to approve Minutes from previous Council Meetings.  Discussion:  Action: Councilmember Phil Adkison moved to approve Minutes oft the May 13, 2021 Council meeting. Councilmember Terry Taliaferro seconded the motion. Three (3) forand none (0) opposed-A Motion Passed 5. DISCUSSION AND ACTION on accepting EDC funding for repair of section of  Hortons Hollow Road.  Discussion: James Freeman, City Administrator said this repair will be funded by EDC for thei first 150 ft. at around the cost of $6000.00. Action.: Councilmember. Phil Adkison moved to approve. accepting EDC funding for 150RofHorton Hollow Road. Councimember, Juan Ramos  seconded: the motion. Discussion: James Freeman, City Administrator said the total funding for Action: Councilmember. Phil Adkison moved to accept the EDC funding for Alt bid1,2, 3and4 4 on. June Drive Street Project. Councilmember Terry Three (3) fora and none (0) opposed- Motion Passed  bids 1,2, 3 and 4 is $54,611.44 from EDC funding.  Taliaferro. seconded. the motion.  7. DISCUSSION. AND ACTION on accepting EDC funding for first section of the  West COH Driveway.  Discussion: James Freeman, City Administrator accepting EDC funding for Action: Councimember. Phil Adkison moved to approve accepting EDC funding for 1501 ft. asphalt repair of the West COH Driveway. Councimember  150 ft. asphalt repair oft the West COH Driveway.  Terry Taliaferro: seconded: the motion. Three (3) forand none (0) opposed-) Motion Passed 8. DISCUSSION. AND ACTION on purchased of new PD vehicle.  Discussion: Jimmy Casper, Hudson Police Chief prefers the 2021 Chevrolet Action: Councilmember Phil Adkison. moved to approve the purchase oft the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. Councimember Terry Taliaferro seconded the motion. 9. DISCUSSION AND. ACTION on purchase of a new 341 ton truck for Public Works. Discussion: James Freeman, City Administrator said the 341 ton truck will be able to pull any equipment legally that is used by the City. Action: Councilmember Phil Adkison moved to approve the purchase oft the new: 34 ton truck for Public Works. Councimember, Juan Ramos seconded the motion.
