ORDINANCE NUMBER 930  AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR A SERVER FOR THE CITY OF KIRBY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBFRI,B3TIROUGN SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 DUE' TOTHE SERVER REACHING THE END OF ITS LIFE AND NO LONGER BEING SUPPORTED BY MICROSOFT AS OF OCTOBER 2023;  AND CREATING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  WHEREAS, the City of Kirby's budget for FY 2023-2024 was adopted by Ordinance and the WHEREAS, the following budget amendment is necessary to authorize the use of fund balance in the General Fund due to the current server reaching the end ofits life and ist no longer supported WHEREAS, the City Council finds this budget amendment in the public interest based on unforeseen circumstances and for such stated for such municipal purpose as warranted and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE Section 1. Findings. The facts and matters stated above are true and correct.  City Council has reviewed the budget; and  by Microsoft as of October 2023; and  necessary.  CITY OF KIRBY,TEXAS:  Section 2. Purpose & Amendment.  The City Council ofthe City of] Kirby, Texas does hereby approve an amended budget for the City of Kirby General Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2023 and ending September 30,  2024, as indicated below. General Fund  Toauthorize the use of fund balance in the General Fund to account for the purchase ofas server  for the City. Severability Ifany section, subsection, clause, phrase or provision of this Article, Cr any application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall to any extent be held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unconstitutional, the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, phrases and provisions of this Article, or any application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall remain in full force and effect and shall in no way be affected, impaired, or Section 4. Repealer. This Ordinance shall be cumulative of all provisions of the City, except where the provisions ofthis Ordinance arei in direct conflict with the provisions ofs such Ordinance, in which event the conflicting provisions of such Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. Meeting Compliance.
