City ofHawkins City Council Minutes September 11,2024  HTY IF  UFPUKNE  On this day September 11,2024, at 6:00 pm, Mayor Debbie Rushing called a Special City Council Meeting to order with council members Eric Maloy, Eleta Taylor, Clara Kay, and Meredith Hancock. Councilmember Greg Branson was not present. The department heads present were. Norma Hallmark and Mike Maberry. Ty Musick,  Paul Holland, and Mandy Thomas were not present. Mayor Deb Rushing gave aj moment of silence for 9/11. U.S. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Deb Rushing.  Mayor Deb Rushing let the citizens on the speaking list discuss items on the agenda.  Councilmember Eric Maloy made ai motion to consider approval of] Resolution 2024-0904 designating Carol Taylor and. Angela Luman as employees to calculate the no newi revenue tax rate and the voter approval tax rate in accordance with Texas Tax Code. Councilmember Meredith Hancock seconded the motion. The motion Councilmember Clara Kay made ai motion to ratify the proposed property tax rate of$.8433 per $100 for the fiscal year 2024-2025; seconded by Councilmember Eric Maloy. The called vote as follows: Clara Kay -yes; Eric Maloy- yes; Eleta Taylor- Yes; Meredith Hancock- Yes and Greg Branson- not] present.  passed.  Discussed the Proposed Budget Fiscal year 2024-2025.
