Discussion and appropriate action ont the final revision of the Parks and Recreation Rules and Guidelines. Adrianna sent latest revision to parks board members and friends of the park. Some grammar revisions were suggested. Friends oft the park had recommendations for special events and inclusive wordingi for counties outside medina in relation to boy/ girl scouts. Additional discussion of golf cart regulations within rules and guidelines as they are still ongoing revision with the city. This document is intended tol be reviewed annually and that part can be updated as council approves. Updates on City Parks from Parks and Recreation Manager. Jonah Chang: a. Community Center construction Finalizing documents for USDA. Should be done by the end of the month. Construction company is looking for ways to save money on project. Upper parking lot will get redone and should be able to fit around 50 more vehicles. b. Special Project Fund report c.Youth Programs status No response from MVYBA about contract expiring in October. Youth soccer at Regional Parki is fixing to begin. CUFC beginning practices mid-August at Lion's park. d. Current results from survey 379 total results Q1 improvements to regional park (listed in order most preferred) Restroom replacement Addition of pickleball courts Volleyball court relocation Additional parking areas Trail improvements Additional pavilions Q2 (most skipped question) Ifyou are/were to use the sports court int the Regional Park, which activity would you usei itf for? Update from the Friends of Castroville Regional Park by Helen Delevan. Most recent Friends meeting included discussion of Boo Bash which is set for Saturday, October 26th. People are already signing upi for trunk for trunk or treat. Friends are working on alternate plan if park is muddy. Group also discussed plan for memorial tree for Dorris Uhl. VIII. VIII.
