COMMISSIONERS COURT REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2024  BE IT REMEMBERED that on this day, the Commissioners Court of Kaufman County, Texas met in a Regular Meeting in the Commissioners Court Meeting Room, Kaufman Texas with thet following members present: Jakie Allen, County Judge; Mike Hunt, Commissioner Precinct 1: Skeet Phillips, Commissioner Precinct 2; Terry Barber, Commissioner Precinct 3; Tommy Moore, Commissioner Precinct 4: Absent; Laura Hughes, County Clerk.  INVOCATION;  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG; PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE TEXAS FLAG; REMARKS FROM VISITORS;  CONSENT AGENDA  2. There came on to be ar motion to accept the Consent Agenda.  A. Accept Commissioners Court Meeting Minutes for October 1, 2024.  B.A Approve the Deputation of Reece Collier and. Jy'Wel Crawford for the District Clerks Office. C.A Approve the Deputation for Marial Landaverde fort the Tax Assessor-Collector Office. Motion was made by Commissioner Skeet Phillips and seconded by Commissioner Tommy Moore.  Motion was putt to a vote. Motion carried andi is so ordered.  MOTION TO ACCEPT REPORT  3. There came ont to be a motion to accept the Sheriff's Office Financial Report for. July and August 2024. Motion was made by Commissioner Mike Hunt and seconded by Commissioner: Skeet Phillips.  Motion was put to a vote. Motion carried and is so ordered.  MOTION TO APPROVE PLAT  4. There came on to be a motion to approve the Final Plat of Duque Estates, located on CR 131A in Precinct 1. Motion was made by Commissioner Mike Hunt and seconded by Commissioner Tommy Moore.  Motion was put to ay vote. Motion carried andi is so ordered.  MOTION TO APPROVE AGREEMENT  5. There came on to be a motion to approve a Temporary Construction Agreement for PID#15808 to clear brush Motion was made by Commissioner Tommy Moore and seconded by Commissioner Skeet Phillips.  from creek that is causing water to back up and wash out County Road 4030. Motion was put to a vote. Motion carried andi is so ordered.  MOTION TO APPROVE AGREEMENT  6. There came on to be ar motion to approve al Project Agreement with the City of Post Oak Bend for CR277. There came on to be ar motion to approve the Professional Services Agreement from Treanor, Inc. for the feasibility Motion was made by Commissioner Tommy Moore and seconded by Commissioner Skeet Phillips.  study for a. There came on to be ar motion to approve an Executive Order #JA-01 setting Public Hearing for the creation of the  Kaufman Lakes Water Control andI Improvement District. Motion was put to a vote. There came on to be ar motion to approve Line-Item and Budget Transfers/Corections. Motion was made by Commissioner Skeet Phillips and seconded by Commissioner Tommy Moore. 10. There came on to! be ar motion to approve Claims for Payment int the amount of $1,924,581.11. Motion was made by Commissioner Tommy Moore and seconded by Commissioner Mike Hunt.  MOTION TO APPROVE LINE-ITEM, AND BUDGET TRANSFERSICORRECTIONS  Motion was put to a vote. Motion carried and is so ordered.  MOTION TO APPROVE CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT  Motion was put to a vote. There came ont to be a motion to approve exiting Regular Meeting and enter into Executive Session, pursuant to 551.087 of the Texas Government Code: Discuss Economic Development Negotiations for Project Olaf. Motion was made by Commissioner Skeet Phillips ands seconded by Commissioner Mike Hunt.  Motion was put to ay vote. Motion carried andi is so ordered. Executive Session held.
