HENRY COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES OF MEETING September 25, 2024 The regular meeting oft the Henry County Board of Zoning Appeals was held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in the Summerlin Board Room ofthe Henry County Administration Building at 1 pm. Chairman Manker Stone, Paul Setliff, Lisa Spencer, Deborah Hairston, and Stuart Warren were in attendance. Recording Secretary, Wanda Setliff, Planner/Community Development Specialist, Micah Montgomery, and Director of Planning, Zoning, and Inspection Motion to approve the minutes of August 28, 2024, was made by Paul Setliff, seconded by Stuart Lee Clark were also in attendance. S-24-07 Michelle Hairston Ar request for a Special Use Permit was received under Section 21-602 of the Henry County Zoning Ordinance to allow for the establishment of a Family Day Care Home to accommodate up to 7 children. The property is located at 657 Chatmoss Court Extension in the Iriswood District, and is zoned Suburban Residential District S-R as shown on Tax Map 43.6(40)5/28. The property is located within the Iriswood Growth Area as defined by the Henry County Staff has reviewed the application and suggests the BZA add the following minimum conditions Comprehensive Plan. as part of any motion to approve. Manker Stone asked if anyone present would like to speak on behalf oft the Special Use Permit. When Michelle Hairston stepped up to the podium, she shared that she had been running her business for 5 years, voluntarily being registered through the state.
