NORTHWEST CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING FRIDAY,AUGUST: 20, 2021  7:00 PM  ASSEMBLY  The Northwest City Council held their special meeting on Friday August 20, 2021 at 7:00 Present were: James Knox, Mayor; Councilmen: Charles Carroll, Aaron Perkins,  PM at City Hall, located at 4889 Vernon Road, Northwest. Michael Troy, Haywood Miller and Councilwoman Sheila Grady Also present was: Donna Strickland, City Clerk Mayor Knox called the meeting to order at' 7:00 PM. Councilman Haywood Miller gave the invocation.  CALL TO ORDER & INVOCATION  Mayor Knox asked if anyone on Council had been delivered the notice oft this meeting at With no one receiving the notice, Mayor Knox stated that this meeting was illegal. Mayor Knox read the General Statutes 143-318.12 Notice of Official Meeting Section 2. Councilman Aaron Perkins stated that since this was an illegal meeting, he would make the  least 48 hours before the time oft the meeting.  motion to adjourn. ADJOURNMENT  Councilman Aaron Perkins MOVED, SECONDED by Councilman Haywood  Miller to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 PM. The MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
