The legal description is: US Hwy 181 TX 78223 in the City of Elmendorf, Project Manager Robert Bennett states the elementary school to be built is to include all students of] Elmendorf and some surrounding areas. The Honor Elementary School built on Graytown Road is the template of what is to be built in Elmendorf. Jesse Palomo asks about security of the school. Mr. Bennett says East Central Independent School District has their own police department SO the security is provided by them. Schools are allowed in residential districts with approval of the conditional use; the zoning district does not require amendment. The legal description is: 16411 Old Corpus Christi Hwy in the City of Elmendorf, Texas (Property ID 158809). Commissioner Kirtner steps down for this item as it pertains to her property. Emilia Kirtner and her sister, Andrea, present this item. Ms. Kirtner explains the hardship of regenerative farming since her family re-established the farm in 2021. She is seeking special use approval to operate a "boutique campground" to generate income. She plans on renovating three (3) storage containers to rent as cabins and making spaces to park recreational vehicles. Lieutenant Reyes asks what vote with all four (4) commissioners in favor. Ms. Kirtner responds that depending on the demand, farming activities and scavenger hunts would be offered but campers mostly. just want to get away from the big city. Ms. Kirtner further states she will rent out to tenants for less than a month.
