REGULAR MEETING JUNE 8, 2020 Be it remembered on the 8th day of. June 2020 at 10:06 o'clock A.M., there was Begun and Holden a Regular Meeting of the Commissioner's Court in the Courthouse, in the town of Farwell, with the following members present, To-wit: Kirk Frye Kenny White Charles Wilkins Casey Russell Trey Ellis Sharon May Susie Spring Commissioner Pct. #1 Commissioner Pct. #3 Commissioner Pct. #2 Commissioner Pct. #4 Judge County Treasurer County Clerk When the following was had and done, To-wit: Call to Order 1. Prayer Commissioner Frye led the Court in prayer to begin the meeting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag The Court pledged their allegiance to the flags of the United States of America and the State ofTexas. 3. Open Forum for Public Comments No members of the public were in attendance. 4. Consider Upgrade to the Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Office-Deena Leuea Judge Leuea presented an estimate from G&M Custom Builders, Inc. to install a plexiglass barrier for her counter and a door for the current After discussion and a motion from Frye, with a second from Wilkins to opening in her counter. Total cost is $3,375.00 approve the project, the motion passed. 5. Read and Approve Minutes of the Previous Meeting Upon reading of the Minutes, on a motion by Frye, seconded by White to approve the Minutes from the May 11th 2020 Regular Meeting with the spelling correction. Motion passed. 1 6. Consider Approval and Payment of the Accounts Payable - Sharon May Sharon May reported the Accounts Payable List for June 1st and 8th 2020. Motion by Frye, seconded by Wilkins to approve payment of the Accounts Payables as presented. Motion carried. See attached. 7. Consider Treasurer's Report-Sharon May Motion by White, seconded by Russell to approve the Treasurer's Payroll Report for May 31st. Motion carried. See attached. 7. Consider Bond for Parmer County Treasurer's Deputy Upon motion by White and a second by Frye, to approve the bond for Luciana Martinez, the motion passed. 8. Consider Parmer County Burn Ban After review of what surrounding counties are in a Burn Ban and review of the drought monitor, a motion was made by White and seconded by Russell to enact a 90 day Burn Ban for Parmer County. Motion passed. The ban may be lifted at any time by the County Judge should conditions warrant. 9. Any and All Matters Concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center Sheriff Geries reported 22 inmates today. He presented the 2021 software renewal for the Law Enforcement Center. This consists of three software packages: The Jail System, The Dispatch System and the Records Management System.
