REGULAR MEETING JUNE 27, 2019 Be it remembered on the 27th day ofJune 2019 at 10:15 o'clock A.M., there was Begun and Holden a Regular Meeting of the Commissioner's Court in the Courthouse, in the town of Farwell, with the following members present, To-wit: Kirk Frye Charles Wilkins Kenny White Casey Russell Sharon May Esmerelda Vasquez Commissioner Pct. #1 Commissioner Pct. #2 Commissioner Pct. #3 Commissioner Pct. #4 County Treasurer Deputy County Clerk When the following was had and done, To-wit: Call to Order 1. Prayer Commissioner White led the Court in prayer to begin the meeting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag The Court pledged their allegiance to the flags of the United States of America and the State ofTexas. 3. Read and Approve Minutes of the Previous Meeting and the Special Meeting Motion by Wilkins, seconded by White to approve the Minutes from the Previous Meeting. Motion carried. Motion by White, seconded by Russell to approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting. Motion carried. 4. Consider Approval and Payment of the Accounts Payable - Sharon May Sharon May reported the Accounts Payable List for June 18th &June 24th. Motion by Russell, seconded by Wilkins to approve Payment of the Accounts Payable. Motion carried. See attached. 1 5. Consider Treasurer's Report-Sharon May Motion by White, seconded by Wilkins to approve the Treasurer's Report. Motion carried. See attached. 6.1 Discuss Poll Books- Awyna Sanchez Awyna discussed her effort to evaluate new poll books. She is considering both ES&S and Hart. She and Susie Spring are attending the Election Conference in July and will evaluate the vendors presenting at that time. See attached. 7. Consider Approval of Bonds for Deputy County Clerk and Deputy Treasurer Upon motion by Wilkins, seconded by White to approve the bonds for both individuals, motion passed. 8. Consider Natural Gas Line under County Road BB Upon motion White, seconded by Russell to approve the placement of the natural gas line the motion carried. 9. Consider Request from Lazbuddie ISD for Permanent School Funds Lazbuddie ISD requested Permanent School Funds for cement work. See attached invoice. Motion by Wilkins, seconded by Russell to grant the LISD request. Motion carried. 10. Consider Any and All Matters Concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center Sheriff Geries stated that he has a jail population of 19 at present. He reported a new hire, Bobby Martinez who will startJuly 19th With no further business to come before the court, Commissioner White moved to adjourn.
