NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF CLARENDON, TEXAS  Clarendon  THURSDAY,AUGUST 25, 2022  Notice is hereby given that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Clarendon City Council, as the Governing Body of the City of Clarendon, at a Called Council Meeting on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall, 313 S. Sully, Clarendon, Texas  79226, for the purpose of considering the following:  Public Hearing for the Purpose of Adopting the City of Clarendon's Budget for  Fiscal Year 2022-2023.  This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by $14,442 which is a 4.47% increase from last year's budget, and of that amount $3,133.44 is tax revenue to be raised from  new property added to the tax roll this year.  The Clarendon City Council will vote to adopt the Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 at the end of the Public Hearing.  A copy of the Proposed Budget, as submitted to City Council and filed in the City Secretary's office, is available for public inspection at the office of the City Secretary, 313 S. Sully, Clarendon, Texas, Monday  through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning on August 8, 2022.
