REGULAR MEETING MARCH 8, 2021 Be it remembered on the 8th day of March 2021 at 10:03 o'clock A.M., there was Begun and Holden a Regular Meeting of the Commissioner's Court in the Courthouse, in the town of Farwell, with the following members To-wit: present, Kirk Frye Charles Wilkins Kenny White Casey Russell Trey Ellis Sharon May Esmeralda Vazquez Commissioner Pct. #1 Commissioner Pct. #2 Commissioner Pct. #3 Commissioner Pct. #4 Judge County Treasurer County Clerk Deputy Also Present: Blake Newton- Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP When the following was had and done, To-wit: Call to Order 1. Prayer Commissioner Frye led the Court in prayer to begin the meeting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag The Court pledged their allegiance to the flags of the United States of America and the State ofTexas. 3. Open Forum for Public Comments No members of the public had any comments. 4. Update on Collection Report from Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott. Mr. Newton presented the Tax Collection Report from 2016-2019. See attached. 5. Read and Approve Minutes of the Previous Meeting Upon reading of the Minutes of the last meeting, on a motion seconded by Frye to approve the Minutes of the Regular meeting by White, on February 22, 2021 with the corrections suggested, the motion passed. 1 6. Consider Approval and Payment of the Accounts Payable - Sharon May Sharon May reported the Accounts Payable List for February 25th and March 8, 2021. Motion by Russell, seconded by Wilkins to approve payment of the Accounts Payables as presented. Motion carried. See attached. 7. Consider Treasurer's Report-Sharon May Motion by Frye, seconded by White to approve the Treasurer's Payroll Report for February 26, 2021. Motion carried. See attached. 8. Consider water line running down county road easement Commissioners discussed this request and decided to not allow a line running parallel to the county easement (CR21). Upon Motion by Judge Ellis to not allow this line, seconded by Russell. Motion carried. 9. Consider purchase of a Wheel Loader for use in Precinct #4 Upon Motion by Frye to approve the purchase, seconded by White. Motion carried. See attached 10. Consider purchase of a Road Grader for us in Precinct #3 Upon motion by Frye to approve the purchase, seconded by Russell. Motion carried. See attached 11. Consider Any and All Matters Concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center. Sheriff Geries reported 22 inmates as of today. He indicated that 5 inmates from Deaf Smith County are now housed in the Parmer County Sheriff Geries discussed opening up the jail for visitation. Also, the Jail. negative pressure cell project remains on hold. 2 With no further business to come before the court, Commissioner White moved to adjourn.
