REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 11, 2022 Be it remembered on the 11th day of October 2022 at 10:02 o'clock A.M., there was Begun and Holden a Regular Meeting of the Commissioner's Court in the Courthouse, in the town of Farwell, with the following members present, To-wit: Trey Ellis Kirk Frye Charles Wilkins Kenny White Casey Russell Sharon May Susie Spring Eric Geske, Sheriff Izzy Carrasco Amy Dudley Judge Commissioner Pct. #1 Commissioner Pct. #2 Commissioner Pct. #3 Commissioner Pct. #4 Treasurer County Clerk Also Present: When the following was had and done, To-wit: Call to Order 1. Prayer Commissioner Frye led the Court in prayer to begin the meeting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag The Court pledged their allegiance to the flags of the United States of America and the State ofTexas. 3. Open Forum for Public Comments There were no comments from the public. 4. Read and Approve Minutes from Previous Meeting Upon motion to approve the minutes from the Regular Meeting on September 26, 2022, by Commissioner White, seconded by Frye, the motion passed. 5. Consider Approval and Payment of Accounts Payable-Sharon May 1 Sharon May reported the Accounts Payable List for September 29th and October 5th and 11th. Motion by Wilkins, seconded by Russell to approve Payment of the Accounts Payable as presented. Motion carried. See attached. 6.C Consider Treasurer's Payroll Report-Sharon May Commissioner White made the motion to approve the Treasurer's Payroll Report for September 30, 2022. Commissioner Frye seconded and the motion passed. See attached. 7. Consider Flu Shots Sheriff Geske reported that the flu shots have been ordered and should be available soon. They should be available for the October 24th Judge Ellis made a motion to approve flu shots for all employees and availability for spouses to have the shot for a cost of $20. Commissioner Commissioners Court. Wilkins seconded and the motion passed. 8. Consider Indigent Defense Grant Resolution Judge Ellis presented the Resolution for the Indigent Defense Grant. This grant provides for funds to provide improvements in indigent defense Judge Ellis made a motion to adopt the resolution, Commissioner Russell services in the county. seconded and the motion passed. 9. Consider Water Line Under County Road An application for a water line under CR S near CR 14 was made by Terri Sorley. Commissioner White made the motion to approve the line and Commissioner Russell seconded. The motion passed. 10. Consider Any and All Matters concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center Including but not Limited to: Approval of Receipt of Concept2 Rower Valued at $950.00 from the Texas Association of Counties The Sheriff reported 26 inmates with 14 oft those from Deaf Smith County. 2 He reported the receipt of a rower from TAC that is part of the Healthy Counties Readiness for Service Program. The receipt of the rower requires Motion by White, seconded by Frye to accept the rower. Motion passed. The Sheriff reported work on the AC and ventilation system continues at He reported his 2023 vehicle has arrived earlier than projected.
