COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor Dianal Martinez Robert] Del La Garza, Mayor Pro-Tem Okie Salinas, Commissioner Pilar Garza, Commissioner Pete Morales, Commissioner STAFF PRESENT: Robert L. Salinas, City Manager Cris Palacios, City Attorney Alexandra Rangel, City Secretary Alicia Cano, HRI Director Melisa Gonzales, Special Projects Director Alex Oyoque, Museum Director Julio Villarreal, Public Works Director  COMMISSION. ABSENT:  Michael Torres, IT Director Richard Ozuna,Police Chief Adela Perez, Purchasing Agent Roy Contreras, Fire Chief Yvette Mendoza, Finance Director Lori Solis, Library Director  I.  CALLMEETING TO ORDER  Mayor Diana Martinez called the emergency. meeting held on Wednesday, July 17, 2020 to order at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Alamo Municipal Building. Mayor Diana Martinez led the Pledge of  Allegiance and. Melisa Gonzales ledt the. Invocation.  Mayor Diana Martinez asked for ai moment ofsilence for Luis "Wicho" Castillo C.Updated Mayoral Declaration of] Local State of Disaster Due to Public Health City Manager Robert Salinas stated this update is due to Pharr and San. Juan adopting af few school guidelines and to be in line with them as well as with the county. The county. states no in- person instruction until September 27and ours says the in-person instruction ofi public or private schools is hereby prohibited until further notice, this should work. The only changes we have done are the school guidelines until the governor. supersedes the guidelines. Mayor Diana Martinez stated the School. Board. President mentioned we are one district and Mayor Diana Martinez motioned to approve, and Mayor Pro-Tem. Dei la Garza seconded.  Emergency.  three cities and we have to be united during this time.
